A treasure trove of Public Domain books, magazines, and newspapers are available online. Many include photos that are available for upload into the wiki-universe. This session, designed for new editors, will describe workflows and best practices, as well as demonstrations and Q&A: * PREPARING YOUR WORK ** research/ find PD sources ** compare multiple versions of the same source to determine which is better for uploading ** crop images * UPLOADS INTO WIKIMEDIA COMMONS ** upload one image or a batch ** categories, rotation, renaming * WIKIDATA: WHY AND HOW ** add the newly-uploaded image to Wikidata * ADDING TO A WIKIPEDIA ARTICLE ** add the newly-uploaded image to Wikipedia
