WikiConference USA 2014 will be organized by a dedicated team of volunteers from Wikimedia NYC and Wikimedia DC, as well as Wikimedians from various parts of the United States. The team has been convening regularly in person and via conference call over the last several months to make this conference a reality.
Organizing Team Structure
The Organizing Team is consists of the Program Committee, Scholarship Committee, and designated director and coordinator roles.

- Jennifer Baek: Wikimedia NYC Secretary. Presented at Wikipedia Day 2013. She is a free culture activist and organizer, interested in digital rights, alternative copyright education, and open access.

Deputy Conference Director
- James Hare: James Hare is the president of Wikimedia DC and one of its founding board members. He has been a Wikipedia volunteer since 2004, where he has made numerous small contributions as well as some larger ones. He edits under the username Harej. In 2012, he was the lead organizer for the Wikimania 2012 conference. He has a degree in political science from American University with a concentration in American government.

- Richard Knipel: Wikimedia NYC President. A Wikipedian since 2004, in recent years with a focus on cultural and educational outreach initiatives such as Wikipedia Loves Libraries. He has organized WikiConference NYC and Wikipedia Day local conferences from 2009-2013.

- Dorothy Howard:Dorothy Howard is the current Wikipedian-in-Residence and Open Data Fellow at the Metropolitan New York Library Council, a member of Wikimedia NYC, and a GLAM programs officer for the Conference. Dorothy graduated from Reed College with a degree in History and has worked in archives and research at the Oregon Jewish Museum, Yale Union Contemporary Art Center, and the Reed College Library.

- Adrianne Wadewitz:Adrianne has been a Wikipedian since 2004; she has helped develop the Wikipedia Education Program and worked on outreach through the WikiWomen’s Collaborative. She is dedicated to exploring how technology can revolutionize higher education. As a feminist, scholar, educator, and digital humanist, she is interested in empowering women by making the sum of all human knowledge available to them in their own language as well as making them producers of that knowledge. Adrianne has a PhD from Indiana University and works as a Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in Digital Scholarship at Occidental College. She lives in Los Angeles, California, where she enjoys rock climbing and hiking.

- Kirill Lokshin: Kirill Lokshin is a founding board member and the current secretary of Wikimedia DC. He has edited Wikipedia since June 2005, contributing to military history and other topics. Professionally, he is an engineer, helping to design and build ground systems for satellites and other spacecraft.
