What is WikiConference North America?
WikiConference North America (formerly WikiConference USA) is the annual conference of Wikimedia enthusiasts and volunteers in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The third annual event will be held at Balboa Park and the Central Public Library in San Diego, California on October 7–10, 2016.
The weekend features both academic and casual presentations on Wikimedia-related outreach activities, workshops to improve the skills of grassroots organizers, and discussions on the past, present, and future of the Wikimedia projects. There will be tracks on community outreach, online activity, partnerships with institutions of knowledge, and technology. This year's theme is inclusivity, community building and sharing knowledge among North American editors.
- Wiki Culture Crawl is a Pre-conference Day at Balboa Park involving more than 15 of its museums and institutions. It will be the the largest one-day GLAM-Wikipedia collaboration ever held.
- The schedule is available, featuring three days of speakers at the San Diego Central Public Library
- Keynote speakers include Katherine Maher, Executive Director of the Wikimedia Foundation, Merrilee Proffitt, Senior Program Officer of OCLC Research, and Dr. Lourdes Epstein, professor at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey.

- You can add yourself to the attendees list if you're attending to let others know if you are coming.

- You can volunteer to help out in a variety of ways during the conference.

¿Qué es WikiConferencia Norteamérica?
WikiConferencia Norteamérica (anteriormente WikiConferencia EE.UU.) es la conferencia anual de entusiastas voluntarios de Wikimedia y en los Estados Unidos, Canadá y México. El fin de semana cuenta con dos presentaciones académicas y casuales en las actividades de extensión relacionadas con Wikimedia, talleres para mejorar las habilidades de los organizadores de base, y los debates sobre el pasado, presente y futuro de los proyectos de Wikimedia. La conferencia cuenta con pistas de extensión a la comunidad, la actividad en línea, las asociaciones con instituciones de conocimiento y tecnología.
La tercera WikiConferencia Norteamérica se llevará a cabo en San Diego, California, los días 7-10 de octubre de 2016.
