La WikiConferencia Norteamérica es la conferencia anual de entusiastas y voluntarios de Wikimedia de toda Norteamérica, incluyendo Canadá, Estados Unidos, México y el Caribe. Únete a los y las entusiastas de Wikipedia, -media, -data y -citas en un largo fin de semana de colaboración y descubrimiento.
Resumen de la conferencia
Organizaremos una conferencia híbrida para la actividad de Wikimedia en Norteamérica con la temática Global y Local. Tendremos una variedad de formatos en videoconferencia, de grupos grandes y de grupos pequeños durante tres días continuos. El objetivo es reunir lo mejor de la comunidad en línea y fuera de línea, reuniéndose en nuestros proyectos de conocimiento universal, mientras que también se involucran a través de centros físicos distribuidos por la región.
Please participate!
We are currently inviting presenter submissions. We will need volunteer help to translate for the conference, to evaluate submissions, and so forth. We will offer registration closer to the conference.
Organization
The organizing teams have started to meet. The Programs committee will issue a call for presentations in June 2021.

History
Our previous events had unique themes and were located in different cities: New York (2014), Washington (2015), San Diego (2016), Montréal (2017), Columbus (2018) and Boston (2019), with last year Virtual (2020).
WikiConference North America User Group was formed in 2016 after that year's conference. It is a recognized Affiliate by the Wikimedia Foundation. The purpose of the User Group is to assure that the experiences gained at one conference are shared with future year conference organizers. The mission of the User Group includes coordinating the planning and hosting of events under our purview. Additionally, the User Group documents best practices and shares lessons learned with other Wikimedia communities planning and hosting conferences and similar events.
