Abstract
There are all kinds of offline outreach organized by the local communities around world about Wikimedia movement. General audience outreach is very popular and easy to do among all these procedures, especially for who has not much experience of hosting offline event. General audience outreach has many limits, despite it has more or less necessity.

In the presentation, I will analysis my 7-year-experience of offline outreach in China and U.S., to discuss why single session, general audience outreach has limited outcome, as well as how can we avoid problems in this kind of event. Besides that, I will talk about strategy offline activity and how to select the type of event that fit your community.
