However, it is easy to create a Wikidata item and collect facts about the film or film maker. Additionally, Wikidata may already have the existing item and perhaps even links to other languages. This workshop will demonstrate a workflow:

• Create the label and description.
• Enter core properties that are knows for films and human properties that are known for film makers (see also the inactive Wikidata:List of properties/Summary table/en#Person that is retained for historical reference).
• Do a Google or other search for the film or film maker name in quotes. When necessary, add any other search term or filters to limit the search.
• Scroll through the results looking for external identifiers that you can then enter.
