Professional Activities

I am a retired Librarian who also worked for many years in IT and network administration. I now do unpaid volunteer work in digital libraries, archives and special collections including scanning, cataloging and metadata, digital library and digital collection planning, archival processing and administration, Wikipedia and GLAM work, digital humanities projects and other services that may be needed.

As part of my former professional work as a librarian at Temple University and a Director of Library Services for Hosting Solutions and Library Consulting (HSLC) in Philadelphia, I was a team member for PA Digital, the Pennsylvania service hub of the Digital Public Library of America.

As a librarian and an information professional, I seek to improve the open access to quality, vetted information for all people. Per WP:GLAM, I accept the editing conditions specified at that page. I will not make any edits that would not be beneficial to the goals of Wikipedia. I will uphold the community policies laid down by WP:GLAM. I will modify my editing behavior based on problems cited by other editors or if my editing conflicts with other Wikipedia guidelines. I ask that other editors do not hesitate to contact me, via my user talk page, if I appear to be doing anything against this declaration.
