Type of session:

Lecture (15-30 min)

Credibility, Missing pieces

Abstract:

Since its inception, Wiki Education has employed several knowledge equity initiatives to diversify the English Wikipedia, working with faculty and students from post-secondary institutions across the United States and Canada. In this session, we will dive into the ongoing programmatic work that Wiki Education continues to employ in the Wikipedia Student Program to tackle critical equity gaps across disciplines and to diversify new editors to the project. We’ll also discuss how faculty are using the project to advance equity work despite a challenging climate.
