Title:

The Talk Function: an Integral Part of Wikipedia Entries

Type of session:

Lecture (15-30 min)

Session theme(s):

Missing pieces

Abstract:

The Talk function in Wikipedia articles is comparable to the far side of the moon. Meaningful recorded work happens there: dissent is expressed, common ground is sought after, alternative opinions and information are documented, conflict is mediated, etc. This session will present case studies in which the Talk part is arguably as relevant as the article itself. Please contact idris.albadufi@yahoo.fr with a short proposal.
