Abstract:
WikiWomenSummit (WWS) launched at Wikimania 2023 as a preconference. The invited attendees were wikiwomen* who were Wikimania scholarship recipients. Some of these wikiwomen* had a lot of exposure to reader, participant, and content gender gaps; others had little or none. Subsequently, WWS expanded to not only being a Wikimania preconference (2024; 2025) but also a lunchtime micro-WWS at geographic and thematic wiki conferences. The unique element is that the attendees don't go through an application process for the WWS; they are scholarship recipients of the geo or thematic conference. The program/discussion is created by that group of attendees to suit their particular requirements. A group photo documents the event.
