Graph database

Hi James, many thanks for the submission. Would you be able to share anything that helps explain the 'graph' part of the database? I'm pretty sure I get this but just want to be sure. Might it do something close to this, for example (but through articles captured in the Wikibase)?: https://coviz.apps.allenai.org/bc5cdr/ Thanks much, --Connie (talk) 16:08, 9 April 2020 (UTC)

Hello Connie. I use the term "graph database" to refer to how the database is made up of graph edges, i.e., relationships between concepts and their properties. This kind of database would allow for an application like one shown in your link, but more expressive and detailed, and editable by the Wikimedia community at large. For example, see the Scholia profile on COVID-19. The creation of this separate Wikibase is to allow for more rapid iteration and experimentation. Please let me know if you have any additional questions. James Hare (talk) 22:57, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
