In 2023 we return to an in-person North American WikiConference after having held online-only in 2020-2022.
We will have four colors of badges for attendees:
- Every registrant will have one with their name and the conference logo, with an outline in the trillium green that is the conference color, and a visible conference logo, designed and printed by Hacks/Hackers with input from the organizers.
Alternatively, the participants might wear any of these three:
- An other color (TBD) marked Press so that participants know if they are in an interaction that could lead to them being quoted in the press/media
- A second alternative color (TBD) for people who do not wish to be photographed ; and if they are photographed it is a violation of the Friendly space policy to publish such a photograph.
- A third alternative color to identify members of the Friendly space team.
Anticipated translations of these terms to be shown on the badges:
- French
- Press = press
- Friendly space team = équipe convivialité
- Don’t photograph = Pas de photo
- Spanish
- Press = Prensa
- Friendly space team = Equipo de espacio amigable/ Equipo de convivencia
- Don’t photograph = No fotos / No fotografiar
