Abstract

How can educators prepare lesson plans that integrate online resources?

The first half of this workshop will be highly discussion-based, examining some relevant lesson plans. These will be posted a few days before the conference. Current students and teachers should find this interesting, as it will be a great way for people to share opinions on this topic.

-Subjects to use this for

-What resources do you need/want? (School computers, laptops, iPads, speed of WiFi, etc)

-How should students work? (Groups, partners, etc)

-Types of materials can teachers prepare to guide students

-Projects, quizzes and tests that can be used to track progress

-Teacher responsibility to keep students "on track"

-How to keep consistent pacing

During the second half, we'll create (or adapt) a lesson plan based on our discussion. This is primarily directed at educators, but anyone who teaches or trains people might be interested in seeing ways to do this. I will post some templates you can use, though attendees should feel free to bring old lesson plans that they adapt to include online-based curricula.
