Abstract:

Imagine a world where you are free to share your scholarly passion. This world exists! WikiJournals are a one-of-a-kind opportunity for scholars to truly take their work into the open. Unlike other open access journals, our processes are transparent and publication is free of cost. Engagement with peer reviewers is fulfilling and supportive. Our acceptance rate is higher than many academic journals, and more engaging. It’s perfect for any level of scholar and a refreshing change from stressful academic publishing.

Come learn about the WikiJournals from authors and members of the journals’ boards. Ask your questions and share with us what you need to make the switch to publishing your scholarship in the open.

The WikiJournal publishing group functions to put articles through academic peer review for dual-publication as a stable, citable version in the journal, and as living documents in Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects. Three journals currently make up this publishing group. The WikiJournal of Humanities is a journal devoted to the humanities, arts, psychology, and social sciences. The WikiJournal of Medicine is an open access, free-to-publish Wikipedia-integrated journal devoted to medicine and biomedicine. The WikiJournal of Science is an open access, free-to-publish Wikipedia-integrated journal devoted to science in its broadest sense.
