La Recepción de Apertura y las Noches de Estrategia Wiki de WikiConference North America son reuniones opcionales, que tendrán lugar después de nuestras sesiones diarias, y se celebrarán el Jueves 9 de noviembre, viernes 10 de noviembre y sábado 11 de noviembre.
Jueves: Recepción inaugural + Noche de juegos
Following the Wiki Culture Crawl, we begin quite literally with an Open Reception and Game Night, where participants and guests of honor are invited to a cocktail reception starting at 6 p.m at Snakes & Lattes Annex (600 Bloor St. W).
A loose strategic theme for the game night will be Twilight of the Bots, as a meta-game where the winners of Scrabble, Catan, etc get custom trading cards representing the various good/bad bots of a future AI-driven Wikipedia.
Viernes: Noche de estrategia global y tecnológica
Tras las sesiones habituales de la conferencia, habrá una sesión de intercambio de ideas en grupo en la biblioteca centrada en la estrategia global para el movimiento Wikimedia y, en particular, en el desarrollo tecnológico.
Participants are encouraged to engage in distributed dinner meetups at restaurants near the library from 5-7 p.m. and craft surrealist chimeras, and then bring their new friends to reconvene for a plenary brainstorming session at the library from 7-8:30 p.m.
Sábado: Norteamérica + Hub Noche de Estrategia
Tras las sesiones habituales de la conferencia, habrá una sesión de intercambio de ideas en grupo en la biblioteca centrada en la estrategia norteamericana para el movimiento Wikimedia y, en particular, en las posibilidades de crear un centro regional.
