2018/Scholarships/Reimbursement

Scholarship recipients for WikiConference North America 2018 will be able to receive up to $500 in reimbursement for their travel and lodging in relation to the conference. Scholarship recipients will have to have attended at least part of the conference to be eligible for reimbursement. Reimbursement requests need to be made within 30 days after the end of the conference.

General Scholarship recipients

Recipients of the general scholarship from WikiConference North America can submit their reimbursement requests through this form.

Reimbursements will be processed by the conference's fiscal sponsor, Wikimedia District of Columbia. Residents of the United States will receive a check in the mail; residents from other countries will be paid by electronic bank transfer in their local currency, and need to provide us with wire information in the notes (if anything is missing, Wikimedia District of Columbus will reach out via e-mail). If multiple requests are sent in, they will typically be grouped together into one reimbursement.

If your organization is being reimbursed (rather than you as an individual), please fill out the form with your information and leave a note describing who the check should be addressed to, and if the check should be mailed to another address.

Academic Scholarship recipients

The Wiki Education Foundation will process reimbursements for recipients of the Academic Scholarship. They will reach out to their recipients.
