Abstract:

Wikimedia projects are covering future-related topics in multiple ways, e.g. in terms of compiling information related to planned events (e.g. elections), calculated events (e.g. total solar eclipses), future studies, predictions and so on.

While each of these different scenarios comes with specific context that affects the extent and manner of reliable sourcing, this session will extract some common themes and approaches and highlight potential for interactions between them, both within and across wikis.
