What is your idea?
Provide an online course in Spanish to train journalists in disinformation campaigns with specific goals related to skills and tools needed to combat fake news. We are ready all the contents, presentations and material.
Why is it important?
Like researchers in disinformation campaigns we detect low skills and information in many jorunalists to spot and stop fake news. We are sure that the impact in jorunalists can acelerate the stop to fake news.
Is your project already in progress?
Yes. We develop several training sessions in presencial way. Like this: https://www.mundotkm.com/fakenews/2019/02/04/desinformacion-como-educar-jovenes-para-crear-usuarios-responsables/ Now we want move to online sessions.
How is it relevant to credibility and Wikipedia? (max 500 words)
We dont detect programs to train journalists in disinformation for Spanish Language. Also, the universities are slow to incorporate this topic and skills to study programs. We believe that this kind of proposals can be a fast impact in combat to disinformation.

What is the impact of your idea on diversity and inclusiveness of the Wikimedia movement?
We think that the stop of fake news can contribute to improve tolerance levels and reduce the space for expression of racism and discrimination. My rol like women-leader in this proposal is important for our organization too.
What are the challenges associated with this project and how you will overcome them?
The challenges of this project are the same as the rest of the online training options: the constancy of the participants and the technical deficiencies that can interfere. We are confident that we can transmit our enthusiasm for the subject and the commitment that journalism has. The design of the classes takes into account light materials so as not to create problems in the online data transfer. In addition, it includes activity and offline readings,
