WCNA 2022/Washington DC Meetup

WikiConference North America 2022 is the annual conference of Wikimedians from throughout North America. This year, the conference is being held virtually in conjunction with Mapping USA, November 11-13, 2022. The Washington DC-area chapter (Wikimedia DC) can organize and host some meetup and social activities during the conference.
Social activities
- Friday: (Still planning). We may not meet until the evening. We could reserve a shared meeting room at CitizenM hotel (1222 First St NE near NoMa stop) if there is interest
- Saturday: The conference goes till 6 or 7. We may have a Wikidata birthday (with cake). We can sponsor dinner.
Logistics
Location
Our activities during the Conference will be based in Ashby Browsing Room at IUPUI Library, 755 W. Michigan St., Indianapolis, IN 46202. (See the map to the right.) We have the Room reserved for the entire day on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Transportation
- We expect to meet on Saturday near the NoMa red line Metro (subway) stop, at CitizenM hotel's meeting rooms (near 1200 First Street NE)
COVID-19
Attendees are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, unless they have a valid medical reason not to be. Attendees are encouraged to test before attending, and should not attend if positive for COVID-19.

Please sign up here if you're attending the meetup. We currently are not planning to have more formal registration but we will update should that change.
Organizers
This in-person meetup is being planned by the Washington DC chapter. The core organizer is Peter Meyer. May need more organizers.
