This guided tour allows guests to enter available offices and chambers with a guide. It is comprehensive and discusses all three branches of government, the history and architecture of the building.
The Indiana State Library tours will detail the beautiful interior and exterior of our historic building, show some of our collection areas, and provide access to some of our inner corridors that are closed to the public. The tours will also spend time in the public service research areas and cover the collections available for research.

Please plan to arrive early in order to allow time for a security check and restroom break. Please enter through the east doors. As you tour, please keep talking and noise at a minimum. There are many offices in the Statehouse and it is important to be respectful of those individuals who are working. No gum, food, or beverages are allowed. The lower west entrance that faces Senate Avenue is the only ADA entrance. If you are being dropped off on the east side of the statehouse, on Capitol Avenue, ADA entrance can be accessed by proceeding towards the west, on the south sidewalk. Turn right (north) at the end of the sidewalk. Cameras, including those with flash, are permitted.
Enter through the Ohio St. entrance at 315 W. Ohio St (''not'' the same as the door pictured). If driving, use the Senate Ave parking garage and ISL will validate. Note Ohio St. is currently experiencing construction, with limited access.

Indiana Statehouse

Description

This guided tour allows guests to enter available offices and chambers with a guide. It is comprehensive and discusses all three branches of government, the history and architecture of the building.
