Friendly space team
The co-chairs of the friendly space team (or safe space team) for the 2024 WCNA are Peter Meyer and Marifer Veloz.
Dozens of volunteers will be helping out in a Friendly space role. They wear yellow lanyards when on duty. Any conference person can ask them for help regarding safety, medical care, conflict, upset, or offensive conduct. If the volunteer cannot instantly help, they can reach out to other volunteers.
During conference hours there will be a safe space volunteer available at the registration desk.
The team can be reached on Telegram by asking for help in any conference Telegram channel.
