Title:
- Vaccine Safety Edit-a-thon
Theme:
- Global & Local + Other
Type of session:
- Workshop
Abstract:
This edit-a-thon will be the culmination of a five edit-a-thon series to improve vaccine safety information on Wikipedia. The idea behind the event series is also to provide training for subject matter experts in science and health, including the Vaccine Safety Net, so they can become active participants in Wikipedia. So far we have organized multilingual events with Wikimedia Mexico, Wikimedia DC and Malayalam Wikipedia in English, Spanish and Malayalam.

Early notes: Vaccine editathon along the lines of a series like this one: w:Wikipedia:Meetup/DC/Vaccine_Safety_Wikipedia_Edit-a-thon_June_12,_2021. We'll have WHO people, KnowScience people, and ... We will work in English and Spanish, in a couple of zoom breakout rooms. We'll offer training if needed.
