What is your idea?

Blockchain technology can be leveraged for tracking the source of news. On chain Identity and reputation is essential for validation of the news. We will leverage on chain idenity developed by Metaverse DNA (see: https://newmetaverse.org/white-paper/Metaverse-digital-identity-white-paper-v1.0-EN.pdf) to build reputation of the news source and promote authentic news and articles.

Why is it important?

It is important because of the following reasons

1: In order to validate the credible news, we will need to validate the identity of the source.

2: The reputation of the identity is also important.

3: The identity should be deployed on a blockchain so the data cannot be manipulated thanks for the immutibility features of blockchain.

4: If all of authors of wiki has an identity (or Avatar), then we will see that people will trust Wikipedia more.

How is it relevant to credibility and Wikipedia? (max 500 words)

The identity and reputaion and Oracle of the blockchain can be used to track the credibility of wikipedia articles.

What is the ultimate impact of this project?

If every author of the Wikipedia using an Avatar as its identity, the author's privacy can still be preserved (due to Public key encryption), but Author's reputation and credibility can be built over the time on the blockchain and become immutible.

Could it scale?

Yes, it could scale.

Why are you the people to do it?

We believe fake news and articles need to be defeated.

Our team is a diverse team with people from China, Canada, USA, and Germeny.
