- Architects Build Wiki: A Pilot Campaign Featuring Black Architects of Detroit
Theme:
- Global & Local, Relationship Building & Support, Inclusion & Diversity, Depth & Breadth for Newer Editors
Type of session:
- Presentation
Abstract:
Architects Build Wiki is a pilot collaboration project launching in 2021 that will explore how professional societies, GLAM institutions, and wiki experts can work together to improve a content area. Our focus for the pilot phase is Black architects of Detroit; we hope to expand our scope to Black architects of other cities in the coming year, and to establish a model that other like-minded organizations can emulate. We seek to learn from and build on the efforts of past successful campaigns including Wiki Women in Red, Wiki Loves Monuments, News On Wiki, etc.
